Faeries Fantasies

Here are the winning pieces of the Faeries Fantasies contests!

April:

A long time ago, when Fairyland was first discovered, there lived a young faerie with her parents. They had been robbed of all there possessions and were terribly poor. This is their story
The young faerie softly breathed onto the short window. Rubbing the steamy mist off the glass, she sighed as she eyed the noil. There could never be a lovelier, sweeter petpet! She thought. If only my parents had enough money to send buy this cute noil for her.
Unfortunately, she could not afford the noil and started the long walk home. As she stumbled along the path, shiny tears streamed down her rosy cheeks. For the past 49 days she had admired this petpet. It was the thing she wanted most in the world! She knew she could never be truly filled until she had this petpet.
Reluctant to have her heart broken again, the young faerie trudged back to the store window, to look for her love. Back low and beholdit was gone! Panic took over her body as she worried that it had been bought. Sprinting inside the store she cried, Where did the noil in the window go?
Calm down, gal. The shop owner laughed. It wasnt sold. It was relieving itself on the other petpets so I set her free.
The young faerie ran out of the store crying. Not only was the noil not hers, but it didnt even have a warm home and good food. As she cried on her way home, she heard a rustle in the bushes. Scared at first, she approached the shrub. Suddenly, the noil jumped out of it, calling for help. Bursting with happiness, the young faerie scooped it up in her arms and ran home. Her parents let her keep the petpet and the two lived happily ever afteruntil she saw the beekadoodle in the window.
The moral of the story: never get a flustered over something you dont have because youll eventually want something else.
